About Jackrabbit Lantern Press
Why I Founded Jackrabbit Lantern Press
I founded Jackrabbit Lantern Press because I believe ordinary lives hold extraordinary material. Stories don't need celebrity status, dramatic plot twists, or perfect endings to matter. Some of the most powerful insights come from hard-won laughs, unexpected detours, second beginnings, and the small truths we discover while simply trying to live well.
Too much of modern publishing asks people to fit into neat categories or follow formulas. I wanted to create a space for books and other fine things that are honest, curious, human, and a little difficult to classify.
At Jackrabbit Lantern Press, we value curiosity over certainty, honesty over polish for polish's sake, and human-sized courage over guru-sized promises. We believe people are smart enough to find their own meaning, and readers don't need to be told who to become.
We publish stories and field guides rooted in lived experience, playful observation, and the many ways people make meaning in their lives.
A Jackrabbit Lantern Press book won't tell you who to become.
It might help you notice what's already glowing.
